SAY-OH
Where Craftsmanship Meets Expression
SAY-OH is an independent eyewear brand born of a simple yet powerful idea: reconnecting the creator with the user. Founded by American engineer and research scientist Christopher Esposito, the brand grew out of a personal journey that began when he moved to Japan and discovered the deep cultural appreciation for craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
Disillusioned by mass production and the “more, faster, cheaper” mindset of modern industry, Esposito envisioned a different approach. SAY-OH was created as a small creative workshop where artisans could design and build eyewear from start to finish — leaving a personal mark on every frame.
Based in Sanjō, Japan, SAY-OH works with a tight-knit team of craftspeople, including designers, opticians, die makers, and artists. Together, they produce frames entirely in-house, combining technical mastery with expressive design.
Each piece reflects a balance between traditional Japanese aesthetics and contemporary creativity. Materials such as Japanese acetate, titanium, and even Damascus steel are carefully shaped into sculptural frames that blur the line between eyewear and wearable art.
SAY-OH is not about following trends. It is about individuality, craftsmanship, and objects made with intention. Glasses that invite a second look — not because they demand attention, but because they reveal their character over time.
