CRAFSIS

 Craftsmanship in Sabae

CRAFSIS is a Japanese eyewear brand rooted in the legendary craftsmanship of Sabae, Fukui — the region widely regarded as the heart of premium eyewear manufacturing in Japan. The brand name itself stands for “CRAFtsmanShip In Sabae,” reflecting a deep commitment to traditional expertise and meticulous production.

Launched by the Japanese manufacturer Sunreeve in 2016, CRAFSIS combines decades of technical know-how with contemporary design thinking. Each frame is produced using high-grade materials such as titanium and premium acetate, resulting in eyewear that is remarkably lightweight, durable, and refined.

The design philosophy of CRAFSIS revolves around “retro-modern” aesthetics—classic shapes inspired by heritage eyewear, reinterpreted with modern engineering and subtle detailing. Engraved metalwork, carefully sculpted rims, and precise finishing highlight the brand’s attention to detail while maintaining a clean and elegant visual language.

Every frame reflects the precision and pride of Japanese eyewear artisans. Through a balance of traditional techniques and modern innovation, CRAFSIS creates timeless optical frames that offer both comfort and sophistication.

CRAFSIS stands for more than eyewear—it represents the spirit of Sabae craftsmanship and the pursuit of perfection in every detail.
